Lithium battery lawn mowers are increasingly favored by consumers because of their lightness, low noise and environmental protection. However, in order to ensure their long-term stable operation and extend their service life, proper maintenance and care are essential. The following are the main maintenance and care points for lithium battery lawn mowers:
1. Clean and inspect the lawn mower regularly
After each use, be sure to clean the grass clippings, dirt and debris on the lawn mower. Grass clippings may accumulate on the blade and battery area of the lawn mower, affecting work efficiency and battery heat dissipation, and even causing the battery to overheat. Use a clean cloth or brush to clean the device, especially the blade part, to ensure that there are no foreign objects hindering cutting.
In addition, check the external parts of the lawn mower, such as the handle, wheels and cutter, to ensure that they are not loose or damaged. If any abnormalities are found, the damaged parts should be repaired or replaced in time.
2. Check and maintain the battery
The lithium battery is the core part of the lithium battery lawn mower, and the maintenance of the battery directly affects the performance and service life of the lawn mower. In order to keep the battery in the best condition, the following points need special attention:
Avoid over-discharge of the battery: After each use, try to charge the battery in time when the battery power is less than 20% to avoid complete discharge of the battery.
Reasonable charging: Use the original charger to charge, and avoid using unqualified or unofficial charging equipment. Make sure the charger has good contact when charging, and do not charge in a humid environment.
Storage environment: When the battery is not in use, it should be stored in a dry and cool place to avoid excessively high or low temperatures. Excessive temperature may cause battery damage, and excessively low temperature will affect the performance of the battery.
3. Check and replace the blade
The blade of the lawn mower is the part that directly contacts the lawn. After long-term use, the blade will be worn or blunted, affecting the mowing effect. Check the sharpness and integrity of the blade regularly. If the blade is obviously worn or deformed, it should be replaced in time. Sharp blades can not only improve mowing efficiency, but also reduce damage to the lawn.
4. Check the wheels and drive system regularly
The wheels of the lawn mower directly affect the smoothness and convenience of operation. Check the wheels regularly for looseness or damage, and adjust or replace them in time. If the mower has a drive system (such as a self-propelled model), check the operation of the drive belt and drive motor to ensure that there is no jamming or abnormal noise.
5. Maintain the housing and handle of the mower
The housing and handle of the mower should be kept clean to avoid the accumulation of dust, grass clippings and other debris. After long-term use, you can use anti-rust spray to prevent rust on metal parts, especially for mowers used in humid environments, and pay more attention to anti-rust treatment.
6. Store the mower properly
After the season ends, if the mower is no longer used, it should be properly stored. First, clean the equipment to ensure that there is no grass clippings, dirt and moisture residue. Then, store the equipment in a dry, well-ventilated place, away from direct sunlight or exposure to extreme temperatures. If possible, remove the battery and store it separately in a cool place to keep the battery in the best condition.
7. Avoid overuse
Although lithium battery mowers are designed to be more durable, excessive use or frequent long-term high-load operation will cause certain wear and tear on the equipment. Try to avoid using it in extreme lawn conditions, such as overly long lawns or wet grass, to avoid damaging the machine.
